Topping Out Ceremony
On Tuesday 25th September, Phoenix celebrated a significant construction milestone; the ‘topping out’ of its uppermost floor.
The practise of “topping out” a new building can be traced to the ancient Scandinavian tradition of placing a tree on the top of a new building to appease spirits that may have been displaced to make way for the new building. A ceremony is often held to commemorate this milestone in the construction of a building and involves placing an evergreen tree upon the new structure to symbolise growth and to bring good luck.
The Ceremony was officiated by Mirvac Victoria’s Development Director for Masterplanned Communities, Anne Jolic as well as other members of the Development team. They were joined by Phoenix Purchasers Eve & Lee Mock.
The luxury, low-rise apartment development has been designed in collaboration with Plus Architecture, one of Melbourne’s leading architecture practices, with the vision of elevating and enriching the lifestyle of its residents through distinctive, timeless architecture, spacious and flexible floorplans and stunning natural outlooks.
Construction of Apartments of Tullamore’s Phoenix building commenced late 2017 and completion is scheduled for mid-2019.
